| Post subject: Praise the Lord - Finally have a Z visa!!! |
Bloooody hell, its been a long time coming, but I finally got it!
Took a health test previously in Feb, so that's still valid.
Went to register with the police today, but embarked on a wild goose chase... I live with the mrs, and she signed the contract.
When we went to the police station to register me, the guy said she needs to get 'proof' that we live together, so we went from place to place and FINALLY (after 2 hours or more) got to the place that we could get a stamped letter from the community management people, stating that we were engaged, and living together.
Tomorrow, hopefully I'll have a brand spanking new temporary residence permit - then comes the challenge of getting a 'new' contract, with valid dates, then I can finally go and get my work permit!!!
After that comes the residence permit, fantastico!!! |

How can you get a "Z" visa or residence permit without having your work permit first? |

if your husband or wife has a working permit and permanent residence permit, you can be an extension of the residence permit. |

I guess I always mix up the terms!!!
I got the Employment License and Z Visa invitation here - then I went back to the UK to get a Z-Visa on which I entered China.
The next step is to get the final Work Permit and then get the Residence Permit. |

Everybody knows that. What you state is totally irrelevant to Mr. Pango's case. Think before you write. |

^ Which was in response to Mr. Pango's claims he had a "Z" visa and residence permit, but still needed to get a work permit.
Sometimes following the thread makes responses coherent. |
