Hello!
I'm a 21-year old British medical student, and will be visiting China in late July and August 2007. My plan is to arrive in Beijing, then visit the North Korean border at Dandong and also Changbai Shan nature reserve. Afterwards, I will return to Beijing, and then work my way south towards Shanghai, visiting Shandong and Jiangsu en route. Finally, from Shanghai, I'd like to head to Wuhan via Nanjing.
Would anyone be interested in joining me on any of my planned legs? I'm quite flexible about it all, and would be happy to make changes to my itinerary to suit other people.

I'll be arriving in Beijing on July 28th, hanging around there for some undetermined amount of time as well as visiting some friends in Tianjin. After that I'm headed down to Shanghai for the latter part of August. Changbai Shan sounds interesting--depends on how much work I actually decide to do while I'm in country. Send me a message and we can chat.

Sure - sounds good to me. Let me know how your work schedule turns out. Unfortunately, as a student, I don't yet have the option of working in China, although I do hope to check out a few of the hospitals serving expatriates in Beijing & Shanghai for when I do. I'm going to book my flight to Beijing within the next few days provided that I've passed all my exams (which I'll find out on June 22nd), so I'll be able to be precise about my arrival date then. So how long would you want to spend in Changbai Shan? Would you want to visit the North Korean border too? |

Thanks awfully for that - I'm not sure how easy it will be for me to cope when I'm in Shanghai, so I may need a little help! How easy is it to get by in Shanghai with minimal Chinese language? |
