| Post subject: Would Shimao Riviera be within our budget? |
Can anyone tell me if a budget of $5500US would be considered appropriate to be considering a 4 bedroom (3 bed + study) furnished apartment in this complex? We are especially interested in those which are 300m2 or more. If anyone is leasing in this complex I would appreciate any feedback you can give. |

Should be ok. We saw some 300m2 for between 4500 - 5800. Pending on how many TV's where in there and othre furniture. It is a really nice complex to live in. Good maintenance, nice pool and decent gym. Kids friendly too. |

Yes, and with that budget you can negotiate for many extras, laundry, satellite, etc. |

we live in shimao, pay USD 5000 for the flat I think you're talking about, the rent includes parking place in the garage and membership to BOTH clubhouses on the compound, and 2 satellite receivers....
the price depends on the building (older=cheaper, and building number 8 is more expensive because number 8 is the lucky number for Chinese, and I am not kidding) and the floor (higher=more expensive)
and, seriously: we're moving out, leaving China end of January. Our landlord is very good, if you're interested, please pm me. The apartement is in good shape and no major problems so far. |
