Post subject: Did China recently changed the calendar system?

In my Chinese lessons, I learned that Monday, 星期一 is the first day of the week.
Also in Europe, we regard Monday as the first day of the week.

But nowadays, it's nearly impossible to find a calendar in China where Monday is the first day of the week. Apparently, Sunday is now the first day of the week !

Why ?

Hi,
I don't know where you got your calendar but Monday is still 星期一.
The only changes I hear coming up for next year is that May holidays will be shortened to 1 working day instead of 3.

I bought my calendars at the shops at Yu garden.
Of course Monday is still 星期一 but they moved 星期一 to the second column, the Sundays are now at the first column.
Which seems a contradiction as 一 is 1.

@forever, calendars are appearance only, if you think just because Sunday is above Monday that the whole world will be thrown into turmoil, you have a lot to learn about the real world, especially when you are in China. Dump all your sensitivities, o/wise you will die quickly here.
