Post subject: HELP!

I am coming to Shanghai on the 29th of April and here in Italy they are driving me crazy for the F Visa.
My future employer in China is very helpfull and is writing an invitation letter for me to get the visa. Problem is my son , italian with his own passort, 2 years old, will need some sort of visa as well. The consulate here suggested the employer writes about my son as well in the letter which seems a bit odd...i asked anyway but it all seem a bit crazy and i do not want to bother the employer too much...
Also ,Is really all I need the letter from employer to get a F visa or will i need some other documents from Shanghai?
Help Please...

I think put you son's name into the reference letter is better.

Getting an F Visa for your son should be virtually automatic. However getting documentation to support your application could not hurt.

I dont know if this is helpful information but I came here on a tourist Visa. Once I got here my husbands company employed SantaFe Relocation Services to take care of getting me a Z Visa so I could stay here with my husband. They were so professional and efficient. We never had to be bothered by all the paperwork involved.

Good luck Very Happy

HI, I'm Indonesian and married to an Italian, and live in Shanghai. We have a 18 months old daugther. She's holding an Italian passport too.
But she was born in Shanghai.
As Donna said, It's possible if you come in China with a tourist visa and let your company or relocation service do the rest here in Shanghai, must be easier for you. I understand that to make any paper work in Italy can be confusing and dissapointing.
When we were in Italy last year, My daugther visa (type Z folowing the father but only single entry) was expired, we got to this agent to do Visa in Italy. We were in Torino.
Or also you can do the F Visa in Italy for your son.

If you already arrive in Shanghai let us know. We also want to find a preschool for our daugther and our main languange at home is Italian , english and chinese.
Maybe we can do a Italian baby playgroup.?Wink
