Regal East Asia hotel's got a couple of courts, very close to you, played there a couple of years ago, not cheap either though, think it was about 80rmb for a session.

I think you're stuck in Shanghai, it's not a common sport over here, take up ping pong instead!!

The Equatorial Internationl Hotel (on Yanan Lu, or is it the International Equatorial...) also has a squash court, I think it was approx. RMB 80 per hour.

I am always looking for squash partners -- and court is free for me at the Portman (SH Center) with a guest so no cost issues. I am an intermediate, mostly just like getting in a good workout and meeting the very friendly squash community in SH. I can be reached at sharkfude@yahoo.com.

Regards,

Jim

Bit pricey but, if you know someone who is a member you can sneak in at Ambassy Club on Huai Hai Lu.

Shanghai Stadium is on a metro line and really cheap...great fun.
