You want serious advice.
What is your serious question/s?
What is ref tace?
Is there a tax question there?
On business and working could be the same.
Do you have a business visa (F)
Just trying to help, so you get some serious answers. |

I'm thinking you're still standing in the UK ain't you? That's that solved then...
I'm going to base my advice to you on that fact. (If it ain't true, then just stop reading here.)
Book a ticket with BA. |

Yes, your opening "question" really does not make sense. What exactly are you after? Be specific and people can definitely help you. |

Thanks all, I will be coming to work in Suzhou on 12 week trips . As I have other business taxes to pay in the UK I am after advice on how I stand with taxes on what I bring into China. Sorry if I confused people.
Can I just pay tax on what I bring into China ? I have read the web pages until very confused. Some say you pay some say you do not pay.
Again thanks. |

I have worked in many countries and once I have the visa I have just gone in, worked and either paid local tax or none at all. When I say none at all I mean I paid tax in the UK or USA, what they call HYPOTHETICAL tax. |

You still make no sense whatsoever.
I recommend you abort this attempt at getting advice, think about what you are trying to get/achieve, and start again. This time, English, try to ensure that it makes sense, and end with a clear question. |

Are you going to bring a bunch of money in to China or are you asking if you need to pay tax on the work you do during 12 weeks here in China? |

This is what a company deducts from your paycheck in lieu of a specific tax amount as part of a tax equalization program.
Seems you have dual contry tax questions, best to talk to your employer or a tax professional. 'We' can't fully understand your posts, sorry dude. |

Well done, you win the prize for most incoherent question so far this year. And there has been stiff competition. |

Some questions, probably not entirely relevant, but very usefull to try to understand your intentions:
What's your nationality ?
What's your profession ?
What kind of goods do you want to bring in China ?
Why do you want to move to China ?
Will your employer pay you here or elsewhere ?
What's wrong with your English ? |

Q: "all I want is to know where I stand".
A: In Shanghai it's usually on a floor or a pavement, and sometimes in the middle of lanes of traffic. It is also not uncommon to find yourself standing in dog poo or spit. In other instances you may find yourself standing on a platform and, on very rare occasions, in a queue.
Hope this answers your question. |

haha. I also vote this as the most vague post of the year. However, i have Nutalie on Ignore, so it's quite possible i've missed a dozen or so posts from her that could give this guy a run for his money. |

1. If you can come on business visa to meet with other companies and negotiate in behalf of your company but not make any transactions in the process here in the country you pay tax in your home country of residence.
2. If you want to work here than you need work permit and pay due tax here in china. (I dont know about UK)
3. If you want to "bring things" import here you must go through due process of licensing and approvals, pay different taxes and fees.(you will need to find out details from credible authorities by yourself though, not relying on a blog like this one since rules are changing often)
4. Contact Chinese Embassy they will assist you.
I hope this helps you in some way. |
