| Post subject: Three PSP Threads Consolidated to ONE Discussion |
For christmas this year i received a PSP and a collection of fake games. These fake games have come on a normal disk, and i was told to put them onto my computer and then onto the PSP. I've been having trouble doing this. Can anyone help me? How do i get these games onto my PSP?
Thanks |

1. Copy the game you want to add onto your PSP on your hardrive. It is usually a .zip file
2. unzip the file onto the Destkop with winzip - make sure the it is save as .iso file
3. connect your PSP with a USB cable to your PC. For some reason only some USB cable work. I think it needs to be high speed. Make sure you enable the UBS Connection in the PSP Folder
4. wait for your pc to recognize the PSP and then go to My Computer
5. Double click on the PSP ( usually it is named E: or F: ) Location
6. There is a folder called ISO. Copy the unzipped Game into this ISO folder.
Most games run around 1GB unzipped. So if you have 4GB Drive you can fit 3 games on it. Hope this helps. |

Before you do this, make sure that your PSP has been modded and wilol accept the games. if it hasnt been modded i.e, if custom firmware has not been installed, these steps will not work.
Ask the person who gifted you the PSP if it has been modded/cracked. if it hasnt been, then go to one of the places where they sell PSPs and they'll do it for a fee. (try XJH) |

| Post subject: Buying PSP games |
I have just got a PSP, and i am fairly new to shanghai after only arriving this summer, i would like to know where REAL reliable PSP games can be bought. An address and name of the store would be helpful, if not just the location of the store.
Thanks |

| Post subject: PSP fake games |
Recently i bought fake games from a local market for my PSP. I have followed the instructions that i have already been told which were to copy the unzipped game file from the cd-rom onto the psp in the ISO folder. I did this but when on the PSP, there ws no game file that could be found, yet my memory indicated that there must have been something on it as it had reduced.
If the game file is there where is it ?
Is it not showing because the PSP chipped?
What does chipping do? And what are the effects?
Some help would be great thanks ! |

as yleo said, make sure it is modded. You can do the modding by yourself but it is a bit time consuming - google for instructions. But as said, might be easier to ask the person that got it for you. If it is not modded you can get that done anywhere. If it is modded then make sure the game you copied onto the PSP is unzipped / extracted. The size should be between 800GB and 1400GB for a regular size game. Once it is in the ISO Folder on the PSP disconnect your PSP and turn it on. It would show up in either Saved Date Folder or the Folder below it. Forgot the name... but it is near the save data options on the PSP. Been a while since I played. |

PBP files are PS1 games.
Throw those into unique folders
[USB DRIVE NAME]:/psp/game/[NAME]/EBOOT.PBP
eg
I:/psp/game/ShanghaiExpatSuperDuperGame/EBOOT.PBP
Assuming your USB pop's up as Drive I

I couldn't do it on my work laptop (firewall, etc) but yes, I did format it on the home desktop we have at home and transferred the games files on it. I think the directory structure is PSP/GAMES/etc. I think somehow the files firectories are not correct so the PSP is not recognizing it.
Thanks for your replies .. will check again when i return home from my business trip (without a working psp) |

Bought a PSP-3000 thinking it was modded. After 3 glorious days of Patapon 2, all ISO games disappeared from the game selection menu! Tried the various fixes and rehacks but I can't get them to come back on again.
Any idea where in Shanghai I can go have someone look at it (at a fee of course) - do they also sell original UMDs in this town? |
