Air New Zealand cabin crew strip off for safety video

AIR New Zealand has figured out a way to make passengers pay attention to safety instruction - have them read out by flight attendants wearing only body paint.
In the video the body-painted crew cheerfully give the safety instructions, including where to stow baggage and how to use oxygen masks.
The airline launched the new inflight safety videos on Monday on their Boeing 737 domestic flights, and may expand them to other routes.
The release of the safety video comes on the back of the airline’s “Nothing to Hide” advertising campaign, which also showed cabin crew carrying out their duties wearing nothing more than body paint.
The crew's "naughty parts" are blocked due to strategic camera angles in the three-and-a-half-minute safety video and 45-second commercial.
Last year the airline paid people to shave their heads and wear temporary tattoos saying “need a change? Head down to New Zealand”.
The “Nothing to Hide” commercial has been viewed around two million times on YouTube and is the most-viewed clip to come out of New Zealand, Air New Zealand’s Marketing Manager told the New York Times.

Nude passenger forces US Airways plane to divert

A NUDE passenger's bizarre behaviour has forced the diversion of a US Airways plane.
Keith Wright, 50, of New York allegedly disrobed in front of 148 passengers on flight 705 from Charlotte to Los Angles yesterday, an Albuquerque airport spokesperson said.
The flight crew become alarmed by his bizarre behaviour after he allegedly ran around the plane, refusing to put his clothes back on or be covered with a blanket.
Passengers helped physically restrain Mr Wright, who was eventually handcuffed to a row of seats, and the plane diverted to Albuquerque.
“We had to physically hold him down on the floor and handcuff his ankles, his wrist,” passenger Matt McGinnis told the US’s News 13.
Passengers were notified of a violent passenger, but everyone remained calm, a US Airways spokesperson said.
“I fell asleep and the lady fell asleep and I woke up and she was gone and I was like oh my God this guy is naked,” passenger Lynette Naude said.
Mr Wright was arrested, still naked, and was taken into custody.
The plane continued on to Los Angeles after his arrest, and passengers were treated to a different announcement, including “a reminder to everybody to please keep your clothing on”.
The FBI is investigating and is being charged with interfering with flight crew members and attendants. |
