Has anyone had any experiences or heard anything about Little Eton Kindergarten in Xujiahui (Wanping Lu)? For a 2 1/2 year old....
Thanks |

I visited this school years ago (3 years ago I think) when my son was the same age (2.5 yo) and did not like it. It gave a very cold and sterile feeling, the smallest class looked like an orphanage room and they were eating out of metal bowls. The food was entirely Chinese. It was too cold or too hot (don't remember what season it was but I do remember thinking they were being Chinese about the A/C or heater).
This was a while ago, things might have changed, a friend of a friend sends her kids there and likes it. |

We checked it out in May...also for our 2.5 year old.
This stands out:
Traffic. I don't like that it's on the corner of such busy, loud, streets. Pick up/Drop off since we're not using the school bus would be troublesome. I opted for the tree-lined Fuxing Rd. It feels fresher and peaceful...
Tuition. Thumbs up.
Other than this, we couldn't think of any big problems...I thought that maybe I could pack lunch if my little one refused to eat their Chinese only meals. |

FTM and freedelia,
Where did you finally decide to send your kids (which one is fuxing lu)? Would be interested in any recommendation near xujiahui.
FTM, how much was tuition when you checked?
Thanks so much! |

HI ,
FTM , i haev a two year old boy ..... was trying to see if i can find any children of same age group for my boy . I just came here( shanghai) two months ago and not planning to send him to schoosl yet because I cannot find a reasonable one around my area.. nevertheless was trying to build his social skills. I am an ex teacher myself and currently a full time stay at home mummy. |

Well, for a while my son and I did Mommy and Me until he was 3.5 and then we sent him to a school that used to be amazing but went down the hill big time (Stars and Stripes).
My daughter (now 3.3 years old) started at Singapore School (and my currently 5.3 yo son goes there too) and I can't say enough good words about that school. |
