Cristal restaurant is located just above pedestrian Wujiang Lu, near Nanjing Xi Lu. It boasts an outdoor terrace and a glass walled dining room that make it a bright and airy place all the day long. Open from breakfast to dinner (including also tapas, afternoon tea and weekend brunch) it focuses on Mediterranean specialties. General Manager and executive Chef Alexandre Molina is from Nice, south of France, and was before the man behind Latour (Jinmao), FCC (Julu Lu) and Nice (Xintiandi). His recipes draw their origin from France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia and Middle Eastern countries. His dishes are usually enriched by aromatic herbs and spices. He uses to stress the fact that his cuisine is tasty, but at the same time healthy, thanks especially to the use of light condiments, extra virgin olive oil, fresh and seasonal ingredients. Cristal restaurant offers an elaborate A la Carte menu that features dishes like the Mediterranean Fideo (the signature dish), the Spanish wild boar, lobster risotto, French duck breast. For lunch it offers set lunches menu (98rmb or 138 rmb) that change weekly, for a total of 14 menus. Tapas are served daily from 17:00 to 23:00, the menu presents a choice between 10 different dishes. Afternoon tea set is served daily from 14:30 and consists of a cup of coffee or tea plus a dessert. Weekend brunch (11:00-16:00) ranges from 148 rmb (3 courses) to 188rmb (4 courses), for 188rmb more guests can enjoy free flow Pommery champagne.
