Acupuncture in Pudong/Puxi?

I was wondering who has gone in for acupuncture and for what? I know many do it for pain, relaxation, weight loss and more. Where and how much does it cost? How often do you have to go?

I've tried it for headaches/neck pain. It didn't work for me, but it works for my girlfriend. She has used it for a sprained ankle, shoulder pain etc. The cheapest options are local hospitals and clinics - roughly 50-100 yuan a time, but local conditions, ie don't expect much privacy, heating or a relaxing, quiet environment. Dianping has listings. Private accupuncturists typically charge 200-300 yuan and upwards (more if they are not Chinese). Also I would look for someone younger. The older practioners maybe more experienced but tend to follow a philosophy of no pain, no gain. And buy your own needles, the thinnest ones are least painful.

What is the right feeling after acupuncture treatment? I went under acupuncture treatment for about 3 months for enlarged ovaries. Lately the treatment became really bloody, the needles cause big bumps and bruises on the legs around knee area. I feel some discomfort when I walk after the treatment. When I asked my physician, she told me that bleeding is good for my recovery. Is this right? I thought acupuncture should increase blood circulation, with a needle in the middle of the vein, it could cause blood clot in the vein.
