reading computersolutions review of his asus, ive decided that i need an ultraportable. say in the $500-$1500 range. office programs. windows xp, firefox. any recs?

s/hand Toshiba R series. Around 2k in s/hand markets. Thin like the Airbook.

Decent enough, and you can up the ram in those to reasonable amounts.

nice. though im not a big fan of second hand stuff. the real is over $2000- out of my range.

im thinking about this hp tablet : right around $1000 fairly loaded. any input?

getting it with a legit version XP instead of Vista will cost you some more cash too

Not necessary. Don't really need MS Windows. Try Ubuntu and install a copy of WINE, which you can run Windows programs within it ;)
