Postby raf5876 » Wed Dec 09, 2009 8:49 pm

...has disappeared!! I have just found out this evening that Amorino in Carrefour has closed and a new Wargas will open...does anyone know if Amorino will relocate somewhere in Gubei? Thanks

The signs in the window before it closed said "the angel is flying back to France". If they were relocating I think they would have mentioned it. I think Wagas is a much better option.

I agree with nuthatch, Wagas is a better option than Amorino, I mean ice cream is great, but just in the summer. carrefour needed a place like Wagas.....

I agree Wagas is a much better option if you live/work nearby and you can have lunch there. But I work in the middle of nowhere and there is no way I can reach a decent place for lunch in 30min.I really liked Amorino's chocolate...it's a pity!

we've heard that Amorino had to close down b/c of trade mark violation, apparently some local company already has the Amorino name...not sure if it's true...in speaking with the employees before they closed (all locations I believe) they said it's likely they'll reopen with a slightly different name...I'm sure they can figure out a way around this! I hope Amoorino does make a come back...

Can't see how Wagas is better -- the food is terrible and overpriced. I loved that ice cream, had it every time I went to Carrefour. There are tons of lunch places in CArrefour, the ice cream was a special treat.

I never liked the Amorino ice cream much so I'm ok about Wagas getting their spot. There are not really any other western lunch places in Gubei Carrefour, so I agree that it needed something like Wagas.
