I also want to import my cat into Shanghai. Had to leave her behind 8 month ago when I came to Shanghai.
The cat has the necessary vaccinations and I got the documents for the cat. I was about to book the flight but I saw on the page that Medea referenced ( http://www.scaashanghai.org/china_pet_import_procedure.shtml ):
"According to regulations, you need to carry a Z (Resident) Visa to bring in your pet and only one pet per Z Visa holder (two animals two names)"
Can anybody verify that? It is the first time I saw this. Does anybody have a link to a webpage (Chinese) with government regulations on this? I have a 1 year multi-entry L visa ... will I have to change my visa for the cat run?
Did anybody here import an animal with any type of visa other than Z ?
