Any Dancehall / Ragga / Hip Hop Club on Friday or Saturday?

Are there any real (!) Dancehall / Ragga / Hip Hop Clubs in town? Especially interested in some real Jamaican vibes. Can handle any large crowd. :-)

Jamaican dancehall does not seem to exist here. :cry:

roots reggae is also a rarity. your best bet is to go the the clubs for hip hop. pegasus, guandii, park 97, L16, etc, etc..

Jamaican dancehall does in fact exist in Shanghai. I bore witness to some excellent spinning of some pretty rare 45s at a club called Murals, or Mural. I don't know if whether that's normal or if I just lucked out. It was on a Friday, me thinks. Keep searching and let me know.

Check the Trhead Reggae Party in this section of the Forum, We do it once a month and otherwise the Reggae thing is not that hot... But if you come down ask one of the DJ's,, the Guy to ask for is called Judha... American Guy with large Dreads

yeah, Mural spins some stuff along those lines every friday night - and you only pay 100 rmb and you get all you can drink between 10pm - 2am - a really good deal, but its main theme is FUNK, but you are bound to catch a bit of reggae amongst the funk
