Apartments in Jing An Temple

Postby Marx2010 » Fri Jan 08, 2010 8:34 am

I'm moving to Shanghai, Jing An Temple, within the next two months, can anyone share their apartment experiences and also any friendly info on any upcoming vacancies? I've consulted a few real estate agents, but everyone seems to tell me dont waste my 50% on them, because I can find one on my own. Plus, they seem to be showing me places that don't fit the criteria I told them about. Also, I've met a few landlords who have changed the price on me more than once when inquiring about their apartment, especially as soon as they find out where i'm from, and what i do. Is that normal? Just curious which buildings are worth the money they are asking, and also which ones are definitely overpriced (seems all of them). . Just trying not to get ripped off, especially if most contracts are for at least a year minimum. Please help me!

I live in JingAn. I am not an expert and you haven't said what you want to pay. When dealing with a landlord I do not tell them what I do and if they ask, I always say I pay for my apartment myself and I do not disclose that my company is reimbursing me. I cannot imagine trying to find a place from a distance though. You should really start looking when you arrive.

well my budget is between 5000-6500/month, i'd like something that's at least 92square meters, high rise, gated, well furnished. I've been looking in jing an, and also in zhongshan park, and i notice a huge price difference, even though it's only minutes away. I met with more agents and they keep showing me some bum apartments. What are the better buildings ? I've seen Yun He, San He, One Park, Jia Yuan, & TopCity. One thing I also notice is the ridiculous decorations, and still asking for above 6k, dam this is harder than I thought.

Are any of these buildings worth the money?
