one way or 1 month ticket is normally cheaper than a year ticket, I forgot to mention that mine is always one year ticket as the thought of staying here without return ticket suffocated me... :(

it also depends alot on where you going .....

Perth different prices from Melbourne and that is different from Brisbane ....

return flight for one month is pretty cheap (under 1000AUD) but if going for a year your looking at ( 1500AUD)

U might think that buying 2 one way tickets will be cheaper but with the hassle that comes with it its not worth it and most of the time they wont allow to sell you this unles syou have a valid reason to

For flights with Qantas, I usually book my tickets with Jade Travel, or Great West, details can be found in expat mags..I have also flown with China Eastern, no probs - Just call them direct. RMB3500 return or less to Sydney.

They really take you for a ride on the pricing...Jan. Thats a high season so you'll be looking at over 7.000 - 8.000 RMB for a return ticket with Singapore Airlines or more. I only fly Singapore. QANTAS would be aroundthe same. They had a promotion offer a while back for 5.500 RMB - which was considered cheap.
If you're out on a moonlit night be careful of them neighbourhood strays/Of a lady with long black hair trying to win you with her feminine ways
