Are some of the popular baby books available here in Chinese? (i.e. Happiest Baby on the Block, Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, Health Sleep Happy Baby?, etc. If so, where can I find them?

may be you need to the book store in people square---which is the largest book store in shanghai ,,and you can find what you want,the other place is in pudong ,a newly open book store near dongchang road. .the name i do nt know..but i went there a few weeks ago..

Try Xin Hua Bookstore, there are many shops in town e.g. Book city in FuZhou Lu; above Zhong Shan Park metro station.
There is also one big bookstore (name forgot) in Cloud 9 mall with a lot of kids books in Chinese.
