I had a dispute with my landlord recently and I was counting on Space, my agent, to resolve the dispute. Not only did they not have any point of view on the case, they did not try to help both parties resolve it. I think it is very unprofessional of an agent to not want to help resolve issues between their clients.

On the topic of bad experiences with real estate agents, I got screwed by Kung Si Wei as well. I invited her along with other agents to help me find tenants to take over my current lease as I needed to break the contract. She found a tenant eventually, but pretended that the contract was not signed. I guess the landlord asked her not to let me know. I only found out much later and I missed out on the return of my deposit.

I've moved to another place which was found through another agent and the service is much much better and more honest than Space or Kung Si Wei

Basically, i'm of the opinion that once the contract is signed and done, any disputes are your problem. The agent has found the property, organised the contract/lease etc....

I know others have a different opinion, but i think once you have the keys, the agents duty is done.

I've worked with Kung Si Wei in the past before as well, and while she does a decent job of searching and listing properties she has the same moral and ethical fiber of most Chinese people.
