I'll always pull for Munchies. The owner is a solid guy and their food (when made properly) is tasty. Before the expansion, they were super consistent, but once the Luwan branch opened, things started to go downhill. I called to order delivery last Sunday, and they told me they couldn't spare a delivery driver. It this sort of thing that slowly makes them irrelevant.

The service was fast, arrived within 30 minutes and the food was honestly hotter than ever. I actually burnt my mouth on the hot-dog, and that is honestly a first for me when it comes to delivered food. The fries, which in my mind are the best in Shanghai so far, were hot and back to the old quantity. The rest of the order was perfect and good as well.
Munchies is back on my menu when it comes to lazy night in delivery options!

But I've been going to Munchies around two to three times a week (the Wuding Lu branch) for the past four years or so (just after it opened) and it has been consistently good.
I doubt if the management has changed, the owner said hello just the other day. The staff has certainly changed. The delightful Fiona (I think her name was) has gone but the current lot are just as cheerful. I'm always welcomed with a smile.
I'm beginning to wonder if the negativity has anything to do with the recent opening of Caliburger just around the corner?
If I believed the reviews I'd be giving Munchies a wide berth. But if they are to be believed, how come it's often difficult for me to get a seat at lunchtime?
