Best Area for College Grad Ex Pat?

Postby mickeyd064 » Thu Feb 09, 2012 10:32 am

Hey, I'm a Non Chinese speaker new to Shanghai. I just graduated from college and found a job in the southern part of the Minhang District and now I'm looking at areas to rent an apartment in. What areas are fun, exciting places to live in Shanghai, where other younger ex-pats live or frequent? I'd be interested in knowing areas that are the best in general and the best close to my job. Thanks for any advice.

Coffee bar or night club, but it is expensive for ordinary consumer.

Dingxi Lu, YanAn Lu.

Not close to your job but then nothing is. Living in Minghang is freaking tragic no matter how you look at it. May as well commute from somewhere fun.
