I don't know, but I think I will be going to one ALONE, after Chinese New Year.

Just wish I did not fall in love, cause now I have a serious romance issue and cannot wait to go to Nanjing to see this girl again. Any advice on this one?
...Hi, as a newbie to this forum and a newbie to China KTV. I got the same experience as yours.
I travelled China quite often and seen these KTVs long time already, but just recently tried with my Shanghainese colleages.
Subsequent to our KTV nightout, I had several email/sms exchanges with the KTV girl and had gone out for dinner and spent my last 3 consecutive days and nights in China with this girl in my hotel (free). To my surpise also, she pays for my taxi/subway/bus and some of our restaurant bills when we are together.
Before I left China, she invited me to go to her home town in Anhui to spend lunar new year (2009) there. With this kind of treatment I receive, I think I fell with this girl (24 yo) and will try to go back to Shanghai for no business reason at all in Jan'09.
I call her every night, even I know that she works in night hours at KTV, she always says she misses me (even shes sitting beside her customer)....
As you said, how I wish I did not fall in love, because I am in same situation as yours now.
Cheers!
Ey, any update from you and your romance with that "girl", its already Oct'08

Could somebody please tell me somewhere cheap to go with plenty of English songs? Last time I went to KTV with friends there were 15 of us and we paid around 50rmb each and whoever wanted beer bought it themselves so I am hoping for something similar this time. Also we need a big room but like I said we are all students and anything over 100 rmb each is not really worth the effort as we could just go out and get drunk for that much. Any idea's would be appreciated.

Can the experts share the approximate location and the cost if possible. I have read about Party World, is that the only recommended one? Thanks again!!!
