Best way to book flights from Shanghai to The States?

Need to go back for a week in December. New here and just wondering whether its better to get a travel agent/go online/get Chinese friend help? Any advice appreciated!

It's unlikely your Chinese friends have much experience booking international tickets.

I usually check www.kayak.com and Call Ctrip (400 619 9999)
