block text on a Nokia

Postby huangheilong » Tue May 24, 2011 10:46 pm

How can I block or silent text messages from certain people with a Symbian 3 mobile phone ?
Not just ads but also people who send me messages at highly inconvenient moments.

You should be able to blacklist them. What model phone do you have? Google it and download the app to install on your phone.

These are all additional applications, programs you have to start when you switch on your mobile, eating memory all the time. To add insult to injury, they are not for free.

About 5 times per day I get a kind of newspaper in Chinese, two times per week I get a message from a real-estate agent, others are trying to sell on-line services,...

What I am looking for is a tiny little thing to change my Symbian 3 soft in such a way that I can dedicate a silent tone to these annoying text senders. Now, as part of the Nokia Symbian soft, I can set another photo, calling tone, etc... for each of my contacts. But I can't change their texting/SMS tone. Why ?

^ This is why you get yourself 2 numbers when you land in China...

1 for personal/work use
2 for real estate agents, hookers, ads, crap online and hookers...

Yeah most programs you will have to pay for but if you look hard enough, you can find "free" versions floating around on the web.
