Yeah i ordered the other night - i thought bloody hell they're taking ages - til i realised i had a million missed calls as i didn't bother to put the room or building number on the address...WHOOPS!

The chicken was good, but it's the roast tatties i'm in it for. A bit twiggy at time with all those herbs but delicious.

Salads are meh...it'd be nicer to have more side options like chicken wings, sweet corn, garlic bread...basically take a look at www.nandos.co.uk and rape it.

Had a sketchy delivery a week or so ago, where the cups of fries were half empty and the soft drink was missing. But the two following that have been perfect. All three were promptly delivered, hot and the girl on the delivery hotline had a great phone manner. Seems like Brasa has got things sorted.

It's 8:14pm, just placed an order...thought I wasn't off to a great start:

Girl answers the phone, "Yeah?"
Me: "Umm hello? Brasa?"
Girl: "What do you want?"
Me: "Can I place an order please?"
Girl: "Number?"
Me: "Huh?"
Girl "Number. Phone Number. Can you give it to me please?"

Ok, it's then I figured its a language issue, not being intentionally rude.

Anyhow, on the top of their website it says that local deliveries are only 8rmb....but she tells me it is 15. When I ask why, she says thats what the delivery fee is....when asked why it says 8 rmb on their website, she tells me to hold on....comes back with a negotiated "TEN" - I laugh and say ok. Mind you, they are just down the street from me on Zhaojiabang lu...not very far at all. You'll see...

I place my order....1/2 chicken combo, garlic fries, steamed salad, diet coke, 1 red/1 green sauce.

Remember...I rang at 8:14...it's now 8:31 and they are knocking on my door! See..told you I lived nearby.

Open it up.. I hate to tell the truth because I'll be accused of working for them....but everything was perfect. Seriously. The chicken was incredibly juicy, nothing like it ever was in the past, great flavor... the fries/chips - used to always come soggy, now are perfect, the sauces are perfect...salad not bad - great considering the price. Diet coke cold.

I would LOVE to know what secret they discovered. What are they doing differently now that they were not doing before? Because this is not a minor improvement, this is inspiring. Whoever turned this place around deserves a medal.

You can order online without having to speak to anyone.

You're right about the delivery fee though, they need to sort that out. The brochure, and the website, says 8rmb and that's what I was charged the first time.

But delivery for my second order, just two days later, was 15rmb. Despite my completed order on the website telling me it was still 8rmb. I don't mind the 15rmb, that's normal for every other delivery site but don't say it's 8rmb if you are going to charge 15!

Should be 8. That's what I put on their website, and that was the message I got. If anything's changed, I haven't heard.

Yep, it's on their website and on the menu they sent with my first order. But the second order had 15rmb hand written on the printed receipt. No big deal but losing a good customer over 7rmb would be kind of stupid.

Maybe I was premature with my Brasa praise.

First, they upped the delivery fee to 15rmb for my second order of the new era, despite it still being 8 on their website. Then today ordered online. Order went through ok according to my order history on the website. An hour and a half later phoned them. No record of my order at their end.

Very pleasant girl advised me to phone in future...so what's the point of online ordering?

There are bigger problems in the world, I know, but Brasa just lost a customer.

I reckon the delivery guy may have tacked that onto the order. Should keep him at the door and call up again. Then refuse to pay the extra 7. Or don't pay delivery at all if it's higher than 8.

Just deny the order if you feel you were overcharged, they will succomb to you or take a total loss for a delivery+food.

Actually just got an email from them apologizing for three days of technical problems with their website and online ordering. Not fussed about the delivery charge...but would have liked to have got something delivered! So I'll give them another go.

I don't think I want KY near my servers & datacenters.

Yes, there were issues the last couple days, and it would seem some certain failsafes... failed. I fixed it yesterday and I'm rectifying the failsafe problem now. Scripts, scripts and more scripts!!! And a few NEW monitors.

So anyone who didn't pay the 15rmb should send over the 7rmb which is rightfully owed??

ordered from Brasa last week - waited for one hour, nothing came - called them up, they'd forgotten about the order.

They seriously SERIOUSLY need to get their house in order - i wish i could say i won't try again, but their chicken really is pretty good.

Damn them

Hello, yes it is worth it to go to Brasa Jing An, our manager Greyzz or her assistant Sasha will take care of you. The food is fresh and very affordable. Don't forget to also try the Peruvian Beer "Cuzquena" and a Peruvian Flan to make your experience a complete one :)

A small suggestion - if you go, check every 5 minutes to make sure they haven't forgotten your order (yes I am bitter ;-) )

Brasamarketing - have you sorted out your delivery or not?
