If you have an unread PM that you cannot find, it could have been deleted either by the sender, or by a moderator deleting a poster who spammed the inboxes. the read ones have a blue circle and the unread ones are orange.

Is there any way to subdivide the threads that are retrieved by "view your posts?"
Some prodigious members(not necessarily myself) will have pages running into the hundreds. Is there any way that after selecting "view your threads" that a pop up pops up (?!), with summary data by forum selected? Then moving the cursor to the chosen forum, click it, and then you're taken to that section of the site? Not being a programmer, but I would think that this summary data might be easy to gather from across the forums.

Thanks.

Re: Bug Reports and Suggestions for New Site

Postby aelephant84 » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:23 am

I had an account under the username "aelephant" but forgot the password. When I try to do the password recovery using the correct username and email address, I get this message:

"Information
The e-mail/username information submitted could not be found."

I tried emailing the site to see if they can fix it and I got a message from the server that the mailbox is completely full and my email was rejected.

Any chance someone will see this here and help me out?

Try typing the subject you want in the "search" box just at the top of the first post on the page. It will give you all the posts with the words in it.

Thanks. Yes, this is referral to the search function. While it might seem to be on the face of it more accurate, it requires reliance on the user's memory for accuracy. Which as we know, after 6 months, is far less than reliable. I think that the search engines within many of these forum sites are "hit and miss", a trade off between precision and recall.

Who is the moderator of the day?

Postby ATP » Tue Dec 13, 2011 2:02 pm

I would like to see some clear indication, on a daily basis, of whether a mod is present or not, and who it is?

If there is a need to contact anyone of the staff, there is no proper indication of whom to turn to for a particular query or problem??

Thanks.

If you look at the bottom of the page of the index, it should tell you who is currently active. The moderators never hide their status. Administrators are usually in orange though not all orange are administrators and vise-versa.

Letting us know the differences in the position titles & their colours, is not the same thing as letting us know who is on today, now.

Could the moderator who is on, now (whenever this is) please be indicated by another colour? For example, a blue, and when that moderator has "clocked off", he/she goes back to either the orange, or green or brown colour of their position?

This really would be helpful.

Thanks.

The site has changed dramatically.
So, allenriley, with 5 posts, I am really happy for you....wait
I am with ATP, there should be an I.D. for every mod that posts.
We have to, so why not them?
