Bunny for Adoption

Postby xiaxiaoke03 » Thu Aug 19, 2010 11:17 am

I have a beautiful gray bunny that I need to find a home for before November. Her name is Rumi, and she is quite a big bunny. She is about 5 months old, and will come with everything (cage, litter box, water bottle, hay, etc.). She is a very sweet bunny who likes to be around people (although she does not like to be picked up, but she likes to be petted on the floor). She even gives kisses like a puppy.

Because I have accepted a job offer in another country I have to move in November, and I would really like to find the best home for Rumi. She will make a great addition to any family and she is relatively low maintenance (just regular cage cleaning, feeding, and play with her about once a day). If you are interested please contact me via private message or email nomadnichole@gmail.com and we can talk more about it.

Getting urgent, really need to find a home for Rumi asap. She is really a great bunny, very loving and affectionate. Would be great with kids.

Put her in her cage and tie a red ribbon on it. Go to one of Thomas Caron's productions and leave her backstage with a card and twenty pounds of bunny food :D

Seriosuly, take a couple better photos and pm him. He's got a soft heart and likes bunnies. She's really cute. If I din't have a dawg already ...

Don't even think about it. Rabbits are intensely territorial. One is endless entertainment; two are a recipe for a war zone.

   Thomas Caron, what a joke of a guy!
I did a search for his posts on this site and found this:

http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/phpbbforum/first-impressions-of-shanghai-t115246.html#p1389149
First impression of Shanghai: an energy like I haven't known since New York in the 70's, feeling instantly at home and thinking, "This is the place for me." That was three years ago, and every passing month has reinforced the way I've felt from Day One.

Thomas must be more Chinese than a hog raised in Hubei province
Shanghai is perhaps the most dynamic, energetic city in the world.

I'm still looking for a new mom or dad for my bunny. Getting a bit desperate. Any ideas as to what to do if I can't find one in time? Anyone want to foster a bunny?

It's hard to get a really good one, because she moves around too much. Anyone interested at all please contact me nomadnichole@gmail.com

Ha Ha. But seriously, sorry you cannot find a home. Have you contacted Jar (Marvin, and I think Julia) on shanghaidogs@gmail.com ? They are very helpful in relocating ALL animals. Sure they will help.
Honestly, I love rabbits, but have two dogs now, and they would eat him for sure, so that is NO NO.
Last resort, could be rabbit stew. YUM.
Good luck.

I'll take it. How much does it weigh? When you feel its hind legs would you describe them being "full bodied" ?

If you like rabbits that much, you can get a barbecued one from the deli at Carrefour for about 25-30 rmb (right next to the rotisserie chickens)

The first time I saw this, I thought a random cat had managed to crawl into the chicken bin and got cooked with the birds. Turns out it was a rabbit, and it was on purpose.
