Cebu Pacific Airlines issues...

Postby ShanghaiHokie » Thu Jan 22, 2009 6:15 pm

I need to appeal to the mass expat market here and ask, "Has anyone else been promised a refund for 5 months from Cebu Pacific and gotten no where?"

I'd like to warn of the corrupt nature of this airlines business by posting the following link: http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/cebu-pacific.htm

We had to cancel flights to Cebu and were "promised" a refund in 6-8 weeks. Weekly, I would call and they would tell me that international money exchanges through credit cards take time. So, we approached our credit card company to dispute it and they refused stating that it had been too long. (Only 3 months time to dispute apparently) Then, they resorted to giving me a phone number to their accounting department and when one calls this number it is bogus.

I can't believe there is no recourse here. Anyone have any serious advice for an expat who is out $3500 and more after approximately 20 calls to Phillipines on this matter. :x

with that airline you can fly roundtrip inside the phlippines for 20 euros + i have booked the cheapest flights ever SH->MNL with cebu. there is no cheaper way to and around the philippines.

my guess is that they dont even have a refund policy.
did you book some kind of cancelation insurance? because if not. nowadays you mostly cant even change dates.

That's one of these airlines where you have to bring your own tools.

Wow, $3500 that sucks. But why the hell did you wait 5 months to report to the credit card company? I would have given that 1 week tops before I started raising hell.

I agree that Cebu is horrible. Their website is worthless, been trying to book a domestic ticket for days...reminds me of trying to use a Chinese Airline site. Impossible to get anyone on the phone either, can't tell you how many times their garbage phone service has hung up on me (at least I do these calls from work). Sadly not many choices in Phil.
