I am thinking about traveling to Henan as that Province seems to have the largest number of silk carpet factories advertising themselves. My objective is to purchase one or more silk carpets for personal use. I am looking for higher end quality. I would be interested in some expert advice or even a guide (for fee service). I can ask about knot count but i do not have a clue about the quality of the silk used or other countless considerations. Any guidance? Thanks.

Maybe you can go to Nanyang in Henan province .the Nanyang silk carpet is famous in China and overseas. And the real hand-knitted silk carpet is expensive as far as i know.I mean ,not made by machine ,not made of rayon.
