Hi, we (my husband & I) are new to Shanghai. We are from Malaysia, can we join in your coffee bean meeting? How do we identify ourselves as people from Shanghaiexpat, or can we just sort of "gatecrash"? 12 pm onwards, right?

Been here a couple of weeks, lack of friends and are getting desperate!! :lol:

This Sunday is the first coffee meeting at Coffee Bean in Xin Tian Di, and the beginning time has shifted from 11am to 12am. Before most of ppl arrive at 12am or later. But I am not sure when will most of ppl arrive this Sunday.

Of course, u and ur husband can join the coffee meeting. U don't need to identify urselves. If u find some ppl gathering together and chatting with each other, and just go ahead to ask if there is the coffee meeting or not. Normally at the begining time-12am, only 3 -5 ppl, and then ppl will arrive gradually.

Also, u r welcome. And Xin Tian Di is about 10 minutes walking distance from Huangpi Nan Rd. metro station. Personally, I do not know the exact location of Coffee Bean, either. What I only know is the location of Xin Tian Di. But other ppl told me it's easy to find the Coffee Bean at Xin Tian Di. So if arrive at Xin Tian Di, then walk around to find it, :wink:

And do not hesitate to ask passerby if u fail to find it. Most of shanghainees are friendly. Good luck. Hope to see u there!

If u read my previous posts on this thread, u will find that actually I do not clearly know the exact location of Coffee Bean, only know roughly. So sorry for not giving u a positive answer. Hope 2 c u there.

BTW the weather report predicted that this weekends SH would be influenced by typhoon, terrible storm. Uhooo!!!

Sorry all. Wont be able to make Coffee Bean this Sunday. Got invited to " assam laksa" party at a new found fellow Malaysian house. Yeah!!
We still want to meet up with all you nice people at Shanghai expat, when will be the next coffee meeting and where?

12 noon on at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at Xintiandi..

Last Friday I went to my friend's place after work..... at it was raining that nigh, then I was just able to go home until Sunday morning.
We'll see until next sunday if the weather back to normal so that we can start our Cofee meeting.
