That was no excuse :) I was stuck at Madam Zung's too and had to walk home through knee high water and I still made it to the Coffee Bean. :D

Anyway I thought it was pretty good set up and most people could find a seat. Better than trying to fight and muscle out other people at Starbucks on Saturday afternoons. Nice talking to you all.

A nice start to a new tradition! SUNDAY Coffee Brunch! :) The location is nice though we will try and get even more space next week, or take over the smoing room and make it the non-smoking area exclusively for us :D Anyhow, great meeting you all there and look forward to continuing our coffee meeting tradition! :)

It was nice to meet people on Sunday! Having only just arrived in Shanghai with the Typhoon nipping at my heels, i was so happy not to just be stuck in my bare apartment watching the rain!
I love coffee, so as long as i'm not stuck working Sundays every week, i'll be seeing yous again!

CB's ice-blended drinks are better taste than SB, fyi, CB is used to be much popular in Singapore/Malaysia than SB.

There are two. Sunday.( Today!) is the main Shanghaiexpat Coffee Meeting. Starts at 12 noon at Xintiandi Coffee Bean. We had a good group last week inspite of the typhoon. In this thread, its about the Xintiandi one.

Were you there Conniechong? I was looking for you (even though I have no idea what you look like!). Thought I would say hello to a fellow Malaysian. I was there with the hubby around 1.30 pm.

Hi Crimper, my fellow Malaysian. I wasn't there, but had gone for the first meeting at Xintiandi. Well, we can arrange to meet somehow. What about this coming coffee meeting?

This is one of the reasons you go there. First time I went there I was alone and started making lots of new friends. Don't be shy. there are plenty of other people in the same situation. Just say hello and introduce yourself and you'll be set!

Real name is probably better since you are meeting for real. Its up to you though
I guess some people use their real names or personal nicknames as their tag on the forums.

Only strangers and my really, really close mates call me Kuldaen face to face. :)
