It's time to start letting others see your work!

Here's how it goes: You post a piece of writing and then recieve a review on it.

Here's how it works: When you post your writing you have to first review the last post's piece.

To Swim in the Sea

As I look out over her beauty deep
Blue waters
Heaving their breast and crashing down
The waves of white
Foam that roll up onto her soft sandy beach

Will you accept me into your sea?
Slowly step inside, before I dive
And you surround me
My body shines with your sweetest
Salty nectar
Swimming faster,
Diving deeper
Rolling motion
In your currents caught I drift
Out to Explosion

Ironic or Senseless Title

Why does it seem
that pushing <enter>
after typing 3 or 5 words
in a row
automatically creates a poem?

does anybody really know
what poetry is anymore?
or do they just know that
it is supposed to look like a column
of words?

and what's with every
poem these days consisting
mainly of some mundane image
of nature
which is merely a generic metaphor
for a routine sexual encounter?

and then, is it not a poem until
there is some absurd, semantically
irresponsible phrase to terminate
the emotionless posturing of words
into a vaguely poetic attitude?
Hard teeth in her mirror.

^ what a bitter cup to serve!
you were born spewing poetry and prose, no doubt.
why not share some of your super 'talent' instead?

IgotAquestion; here's a poem I wrote in September 05, when I decided to return to China.

This time, I promise.
-------------------------
China pt II
-------------------------

To find freedom in a country of chains
requires the skill and courage of a pick pocket.
Pulling burdens from shoulders and hips
to reveal the soft touch, that only
innocence and laughter may bring.

Has all this been forgotten
in the dust of your dead and dying?
Has 5000 years of bodies,
crushed into the earth,
beneath each new generation,
made you ignore your future?
or your past?

Each day,
We are eating your ancestors,
and drinking the blood of your young.

Have I said too much already?

Not for those that know the depth of oceans
or have seen birds circling the stars.

I want you back.
I need to smell your sickness again,
and step over children
with jobs to collect our sanity
in cupped hands and bowls of tin.

China,

A land where life is lived in moments
and the food will always taste
of wood or metal.
I have seen this before,
and will return until my eyes bulge with reverence
and my ears sing the songs of blind men.

This time, I promise to speak to you.
My words, you may not know
but still, to be rarer than silence
is a mistake I will not repeat.
This is better for us,
to communicate, even without understanding,
to walk through streets of glass and brick,
where behind walls, treasures are kept
from those that made them,
and women sell their bodies
for pieces of your soul.

This time will be different,
I promise!

I will not again, awaken each day,
surrounded by a city of strangers,
but instead laugh and turn to replace them with you.
Our only dance will be with hands held high
and the spirits and smoke of nations far away
will not replace you now.

This time your gifts are for me alone
and I will receive them.

I will wrap you in silks
and brush the knots from your hair.
You will welcome me with incense
and lead me to the tops of mountains.

Summits that only wait
for feet to make them real.

This time, we will be together,
I promise.

Forever f ucking
your white skin laced in pearl curdles in my menstration

tear me open
it's not half the pain of your diseased splinter in my heart

Antagonize my beauty
my soul manipulated by your lies

These cheap games aren't half the fun I thought they'd be
Aren't half the love I'd hope in me
isn't you who'd set me free

Your thick sex
fouling up the rightious mysteries of marriage

unblessed ex
harrowing this tale I held, my baggage

What's this
another easy going trickster

breaks me for mine eyes were set
upon all of his blood to let
on concrete gloom and paper weight
my future now beset with hate

you evil lover
take no other
leave us to our lack of hope
for you are no more means than rope
escaping this life trapped like oak
in dulling wages
nulling pages
beloved propaganda spews
oh I long for better news

they say that lovers set you free
but that's not what you did to me
