dance place expat/local staff

dance place expat/local staff

Postby Adrienne » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:11 am

Ok. This may be a tough one. We have done the KTV too many times so would like to find a place where we can all go dancing. Would like to find a place where expats and local staff can dance. Music needs be a style that young conservative locals would like. Is 70's Ok with them? Is there anywhere that does this? Judy's Two on Maomig Rd years ago used to have a 70's night. Thanks in advance for any advice...... 8)

Mbox opposite the old Bon Bon was pretty conservative - live band doing cover tunes - bit tame but acceptable for the young conservatives.
Frankly, you have to be careful you don't take them anywhere there are likely to be prowling single foreigners grabbing their buns, or ending up in a Chinese bar drinking whisky and rolling dice :)

I love them - go all the time :)

But young conservative professional local ladies would not be seen dead there...

The Paulaner Brauhaus at Riverside Promenade, Binjiang Da Dao, Pudong got a dance floor and live music.
Brown Sugar in Xintiandi also has a live band with dance floor in front of the stage.
