I can find Applecare products on Apple's website in the US, HK, etc, but not in China.

Even though there are Apple stores in Beijing and Shanghai, is Applecare service not yet available in China?

There are certainly authorised Apple service/repair centres in China - several in Shanghai. So I imagine Applecare is honoured here too.

You can find the local service centres on the Apple website, although it takes a bit of digging. I eventually found the list via the site map.

applecare is valid worldwide with the exception on iphones for obvious reasons.

but the service at authorised resellers is HIGHLY variable to say the very least. Beijing has a real Apple center but even their our office staffers report that items sent away (not dealt with on site) don't always come back fixed properly.
