Entertainment for the older generation - help...

Postby Georgie » Sat Oct 22, 2005 10:02 pm

The elderly parents-in-law arrive this week for a 2 week stay. Having not been in Shanghai long ourselves we are still finding our feet so I need some help suggesting some nice places where we can take them for a drink/meal where the music's not loud, nice views etc, and it's not filled with hookers.

Maybe my 73 year old f-in-l might find that amusing but not sure his wife would!

Also any suggestions for shows such as acrobats etc. Any help much much appreciated.

Some places to eat can be M on the Bund, T-8, Nepali Kichen (book a table downstairs - no view but good food), The Glamour Bar (next to M), Grand Hyatt (The Grill is very good), Cloud 9 bar, Senses, La Villa Rouge, Laris, Bali Laguna, Mesa/Manifesto, JW Lounge, Sens & Bund, Face

There is an acrobatic show held at the theatre at the Shanghai Centre. Starts at 7:30pm.
