Postby shanghaidamian » Sat Oct 20, 2007 7:57 pm

Just wondering were people will be watching the Brazilian GP F1 action where it is sure to be a tight one between Alsonso, Lewis and Massa.

Fight between FA and LH? Sorry but you are either British or not been watching since the Hungarian GP.

There is no fight, and it is clear that Mclaren dont want FA winning. The only reason FA is even close is because of his skill as a driver and the fact LH crashed out in Shanghai.

Maybe you missed this quote from Ron Dennis after Shanghai

Dennis said after the race in Shanghai, when asked why they had not brought Hamilton in earlier for a tyre change, that "we were not racing Kimi, we were basically racing Fernando."

Yah, nice quote from a team principal. Pathetic really. So claiming LH beat FA is just as pathetic.

not british and having been watching since melbourne.
i just hate alonso - he can head off to some B rate team
next year and pretend he is doing it for a challenge and his
career but he'll be another Damon Hill or Jacques Villenuve
driving around the middle to back of the grid until he retires.

Nobody wins 2 titles in a row (with hopefully a 3rd one happening tonight) by luck.

I think you dont know a lot about F1 to say what you said.

Oh wait, wasnt it you that thought someone could copy an F1 car by looking at it?

That explains it.

can you read? or isn't english your first language?

i didn't say alonso had won the first two by luck, i said he can head off to some B grade team, like some other former world champions and hang around the middle to the back of the grid.
And guaranteed it won't be him at fault when he starts coming 6 or 8th in 2008. he'll be blaming the car or the team(once again) or other competitors.

And for the record I didn't say someone could copy a F1 car by looking at it.
I said that engineers and mechanics could influence the design of an F1 car like Toyota in 2003.

Actually English is not my first nor second language, for the record.

But the thing is: when Alonso was in a B grade team he won championships already... so, your scenario is wrong from the start.

And you are comparing Alonso to Damon Hill?
Dude, do you actually watch races? When did you start following the sport?

Damon Hill was completely talent less.

And for the record I didn't say someone could copy a F1 car by looking at it.
I said that engineers and mechanics could influence the design of an F1 car like Toyota in 2003.

Please dont back pedal...

You said that the 700 hundred pages of detailed technical information from the Ferrari engineers stolen by the little british thieve were equivalent to the tips a mechanic from one team could give to another team by socializing, hence Ferrari's claim were unfounded. That's what you said.

Dont make us dig up the thread.

Nice job, Ferrari.

Looks like little boy hamilton felt the pressure. Tsk tsk.

A pity for Alonso but not bad that Kimi ended up winning.

Let's see the excuses the british press will come up with. I can see some hilarious headlines.

That was a pretty good season overall (besides the thieving scandal).

Considering he won 6 races this season then its probably a fair result that Kimi won the title, made fairer by the fact that Alonso is a cheat and therefore did not deserve to win it. Lewis had the car and the chances but blew it.

Fell asleep on the couch after Hamilton lost it big time and slipped back to 17th early on. Seems he felt the pressure a bit too much the lad in these last few rounds...

Well done Kimi - Ferrari won because they work with and not against each other.

Shame about Hamilton but I just hope he doesn't become like Button.

Next season should be very interesting lets hope there is more action on rather
than off the track.

Best season i have ever seen. I am a big Hamilton fan, but probably good that Kimi got it. Hamilton will win 3 or 4 of them before he finishes.

Interesting couple of weeks now. Will Alonso move? They were saying that if he does, then Rosberg might be a replacement at McLaren. I'd love to see Webber in there.

Also, the Frog that has won the CART championship the last few years, Sebastian someone. They said he is going to F1 but which team? Maybe replacing Ralf.

Webber will always be remember as the guy who could have and should have [but still hasnt] ... reliability problems plauge him like last night.

5 races at Brazil, never finished one of them.

he had his chance in Japan but that tool Vettel took him out. He is fast, qualifying shows that, his car is just never up to scratch.

I hope Kimi gets to keep his trophy + title, they are now investigating some incidents during the race, Hamilton might still get some more points if 2 of his colleagues get DSQ.

Oh Kimi, he's so good, so fast, so sexy.

i thought officials cleared Sauber and Williams for the fuel irregularities.
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/ ... /7023.html
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/63570

If McLaren appeal and win this will just be a debacle. F1 will truly be tarnished and Hamilton if appointed the new champion will be seen as the sore loser.

The BMW Sauber and Williams teams have escaped penalty after being investigated by Brazilian Grand Prix stewards over fuel irregularities on their cars at the end of Sunday’s Interlagos race.

Under Formula One racing’s technical regulations fuel temperatures are not allowed to fall more than 10 degrees Celsius below ambient air temperature at any time. According to FIA data, Williams and BMW Sauber exceeded this range during the race, but after lengthy deliberations stewards chose not to impose sanctions.

However, McLaren are expected to appeal the stewards' decision, which if overturned could have serious implications for the 2007 drivers' championship.

Nico Rosberg finished fourth for Williams, with Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld fifth and sixth respectively for BMW Sauber. If they were to be disqualified, Lewis Hamilton would move up to from seventh to fourth, giving him enough points to beat Kimi Raikkonen to the title.

I really hate McLaren while I used to love them because of Senna. Just like I really hated Ferrari because of Schumi, but Kimi joined them so I have to love them.

i dont really care about the whole formula 1 but if i was a fan, i'd be pretty pissed off if i always had to wait until after a race to find out if my team/driver has one the race the day before or not

imagine your country wins the football worldcup in regular time, but then you have to wait with the celebration because one players shoes might not have fit the regulations of the fifa...

"they will seriously damage F1."

Stealing Ferrari's design was not seriously damaging F1???

Would Hamilton want to win it this way? That's the question.

If he's as good as he is boasted to be, he'd let it rest or whatever.

Also, if it was Alonso instead of Hamilton that needed a push in the courts to win the title, would McLaren put its weight behind him?

Hardly think so.

Dennis lost the plost thoroughly.
