I have bought many tailored shirts and pants from store Floor 1- stall 161. They do great work and ontime. All shirts are comfortable and you can custom cuffs, neck lengths, hidden buttons, you name it they can do it. Their English ability is so so but you probably still want to use a translator for exact clarification

tailored shirts $100-120 rmb (100 for the cloth that is on the shelf, 120 for the cloth in the book. I like the cloth in the book)
wool pants $160-180

at another stall
Paul Smith cufflinks 25 rmb
D&G ties 30 rmb

The ladie's name is Lu Fu Ying. Oh shoot I need to pick up my last order.

^^Wow, blonde that sounds pretty cheap! Where on Tianshan Lu is this tailor located? It's a pretty long stretch of road, Tianshan Lu.

Tom's in the Pearl Market is fantastic for more business style shirts, pants, etc. Nice people, always willing to work to fit the order, reasonable prices and they have an almost real dressing room, which is a huge improvement over the "hold up any random cloth" bit for me! On the flip side, Stall 335 in the Bund FM was AWFUL! they had to deliver because they were a day late, the clothes showed up completely reeking of cigarette smoke( I know everyone smokes in China, but none of my other clothes have smelled like that ever) and then they insisted one of the 1's on my receipt was a 5, and the delivery man refused to leave my apartment until he got money that had not been agreed on. It was pretty scary, actually.

In Shanghai there is no bag that you can’t have for 700RMB (I was used to take the best of the best for $100 but now sometimes the seller refuses). The best wallet I’ve ever had cost me 120RMB and it was a damn good wallet – Ferragamo replica. I held it in my back pocket for three years.

^ & ^^

Hmm, I pay bewteen 200-300 RMB for a very high quality (real leather, good stiching, no misspelling, etc) replica bag/purse. Depending on 'brand', the size, time of week, and how many other tourists etc,the price varies a bit, but I never had to pay more than 300RMB.
Same price range both at the fakemarket at the S&T metrostop, as well as the little backdoor shops around Yuyuan bazaar. I guess lower prices are quite possible, as I am not the best haggler in the world.

I've created a free mobile phone app for Android phones for those that may be interested in having pricing information, tips and maps to the markets in town available on your phone. If interested here is a link to the webpage as well as the android market link.

I've read all the fabric market stalls at the South Bund market (Lujiabang Rd) just assign the work to stalls "behind the fabric market". But I strolled around back there and couldn't find it. Where exactly is the real work being done?

This is for Dress Shirts not Suits. There is no way suits can be this cheap. My dress shirts (Egyptian Cotton), tailored made are priced higher because of the tailor's quality. My custom made suits last time cost for tropical wool 800rmb and the tailor was excellent.

People told me about watches at the fake market that are from higher quality and costs 300 RMB or something. What about that watches, what is the difference with the automatic watches that costs 120-150 RMB? I have a automatic Tag Heuer for example and thats automatic and works fine.

Postby disrupsean » Mon Nov 07, 2011 6:41 pm

Have you had a great experience recently and reasonable prices? With who/which stall #? (Looking in particular for men's peacoat and pants and shirts).

Thanks!

The stores get the orders from each customers. They do not proceed the production, but transfer the orders to next procedure.
Option A: The shirt or suit factories which are a little far away from the downtown, and they send someone to pick up the orders from the stores.
Option B: The single tailors who are living around the market. They mainly handle the fashion designs.

Hello,
I am looking for "fake" sunglasses that won't destroy your eyes if you were them by sunny weather  ..
Do someone has an idea of where and how much i can find some?
20rmb to dommage your eyes isn't such an appealing deal for me!

Currently we've reached a great agreement with the Natsun Group, the biggest wool fabric factory worldwide. We will explore the retail business for them. Natsun holds hundreds of suiting fabrics , with stocks all year round, including several series:
1. Wool + Silk, Wool + Cashmere.
2. 100% Wool ( Super 80s, 100s, 120s, 140s, 160s )
3. Wool Blend ( 50% Wool, 70% Wool, 80% Wool )

This luxury collection was made from the super-fine Australian Merino wools through eco-friendly and scientific processing technology, which puts into full playing its fashion, elegance and quality value. They are specially designed for business men advocating tradition and classic taste.
