Dropped by the Shanghai Expat show and was surprised to see a "Coming Soon" sign at the Hertz booth. I thought I had been renting a car and driver from Hertz for a few months. According to the folks at the Hertz booth, the company I am using (Shanghai Heshi Car Rental Co., which uses "Herts" in its lease translation and has an office in the same building as Hertz on Yan'an) is not Hertz and Hertz's leasing business will start up later this year. The Heshi service has been very disappointing and so this makes some sense to me. My office also thought we were dealing with Hertz and I have seen a few references to Hertz on these boards. Anyone have any information on this?
