northeast chinese are actually like men. Unlike their Shanghainese p.u.s.s.y brethren. Ever see a shanghainese in a fight. My sis could've whipped most of them when she was 6

I never seen a physical fight in shanghai just a lot of verbal shouting usually with parking attendents. "Dongbei ren" my chinese not good but East-North people?

The only fight I have witnessed here was at the street market at Rujin Lu,
just west of YuYuan...dude began beating another (much smaller guy) with a bike chain.
Tough guy swung back his arm with the chain, nearly striking me. I was put off by this,
and grabbed the chain, toppling him to the ground. His opponent ran off, he leaped up,
must have seen the look on my face (I was smokin pissed off) and ran the other direction.
I tossed the chain into a garbage receptacle. The entire crowd went silent. Apparently
Mr. Shanghai tough guy was an enforcer for a gang...and lost face to an old laowai.
My girlfriend at the time effed my brains out that night...so it was all good by me.

Never saw a proper fight between chinese people in Shanghai... The only thing i know is that Chinese in Shanghai do not fight with any kind of "honor" They call up their "friends" who bring more "friends" and in the end its about who has more people on each side... and no they never fight they just stand there , shout, talk , smoke cigarets. Only times they fight is when a person is outnumbered 5 to 1 and they jump him , crap like that happened to my pal who is on bad terms with our chinese schoolmates.

Bloody retarded crap, this people just do not know how to resolve the problems in a proper fight or in a proper talk.

one time i saw group of chinese chasing a laowai with an ax, this was in high school they were high schoolers... never saw that kid in school again.

one time i spat at this laowai's face, he was like 30, i was a high schooler. he got scared... and his older buddy or boss with him said if you did that to me you'll get it... i was like just smiled and didn't even meant do anything bad. after that... that 30yr old avoids looking at me... i always go to that area to play video games... he's the worker in the arcade.
that just funny...

the point is i was just playing.. i drank some soda or somein... and he made some rude remarks i forgot what he said... then i just looked at him squirting the soda between my teeth toward him... and just looked at him like playing around. then he was like... scared or shooked or somein, i didn't know what to think. later on ... i think he's just afraid of the chinese gangs in the area... and they do like to hang around arcades.

I am from dongbei. I mean, my parents are but I was raised in Europe. However, I do know the dongbei people's temper. It is true that people from Donbei are easily provoked and they are likely to fight, but to be honest: 1st never seen a fight in shanghai, just once when a norwegian guy called an UK gay a fag at M3.
They were literally tolchoking each other's skull.
2nd Men from Dongbei just ain't cowards, if it comes they have guts to defend themselves, not like shanghai men. 3rd People from Dongpei would start a fight even if they are short handed, so it's not true that they only fight with bunch people such as gang members. 4th ive been to L.A., and people are way more violent in the US than in China, even here in Europe we've got fights every weekend where the local police have to show up. Let's say, I wouldn't dare to walk alone in London at the wrong district at night....
Anyway I really think that clubbing in Shanghai is by far the safest city I've ever been to. never been abused or mobed by any1 here in shanghai compared to europe where I had already to stand gainst some fights.
