Archuleta 'excited' to shoot Philippine TV series

MANILA, Philippines (AP) — "American Idol" runner-up and Murray, Utah, native David Archuleta says he's "excited" about working on a Philippine TV series.
His Filipino co-stars Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero welcomed him with flower garlands at Manila's airport Friday. They'll be shooting the TV5 drama the next few weeks.
Fans and journalists jostled to take pictures as the 20-year-old singer emerged from the airport gate.
Archuleta said in a video blog before leaving the U.S. that he has taken acting lessons to prepare. He says: "I'm excited about it. ... This is a new experience for me."

Tim Tebow - Denver Broncos Quarterback -connection with the Philippines

After winning one game during 2011 season Tim Tebow was interviewed and was asked, "where are you going?" Instead of the usual expected response of, "I'm going to Disneyland!" instead Tim responded, "I'm going to the Philippines !" (no joke!)

Denver Broncos quarterback, Tim Tebow announced that the Tim Tebow Foundation, working with CURE International, will be building a new children’s hospital in the Philippines . The Tebow CURE hospital is the first joint project between the two organizations. When completed, the hospital will feature a 30 bed surgical facility, with a primary focus on orthopedics. The groundbreaking is scheduled for January and the hospital is expected to be completed in 2013.

Tebow, the son of American missionary parents, was born in the Philippines . “I was born in the Philippines and my parents have been missionaries to that area since 1985. The Philippines have always had a special place in my heart," Tebow said. "I'm excited to be a part of this hospital that will bring healing to thousands of children who would not otherwise have access to care."

Fact: If you don't know, Tim Tebow also speaks fluent Tagalog

Mabuhay from the dirtiest place in the world - Manila! hahahahaha....

Anyways, just want to share the Balikbayan Box from Shanghai to Manila experience.

Jan 4 called Hector 189 1739 4847 and inquire his balikbayan box fee

Fee: 450rmb shipping + 20 rmb for the box (no weight limit)

Jan 5 - Hector arrived in my apartment in Zhangjiang with the box. He helped me wrap the box in clear masking tape to make it sturdy and told me that after I have finished packing call him and he will arrange for someone to pick it up..

He also left me calling cards and whom to contact in the Philippines. Since my box will be delivered to Manila, my contact person is Dennis.

I was done packing already that afternoon and we arranged someone to pick it up the next day.

Jan 6 - some chinese dude picked knock on my door and picked up my box

....

....
....

Jan 17 - called Dennis and was inquiring the status of my box. To my surprise, It's already here in Manila.

Jan 18 - I got my box today and everything is in perfect condition. I have glass plates and bowls and all of them are in mint condition...

Ok..share ko lang...

Been here since 13Jan. Mas ok pa din ang warm place kaysa sa malamig.
Will fly back to Sh on 29jan.
