Does Shanghai have an established and well-financed fine arts center?

Ballet? Orchestra performances? Host touring theater groups? Touring Broadway plays and musicals? Opera? Concerts by well-known international singers, bands, and orchestras?

If it has the above, what is the center called? If it has a website, I'd appreciate its URL. Also, are there social circles that regularly attend such and which would likely welcome an American into them?
