Pacific Satellite offers the same, and probably cheaper than Bruce, from their normal package prices (2,980RMB for dream satellite with legitimate license against 7500 for them)

The pirated one is at RMB1,600 from Pacific Satellite, just check the website.
To come back to IntelSat 8 (FTA satellite with Australia Network), Pacific Satellite's price is RMB1,300 , I am sure you offer it at the double price at least. No kidding :-)

As we all know, the cost of real one is more than 4000RMB,so 2980RMB is also a pirate one.But not use smartcard, use ROM 10 card, this card is better than smartcard. So 2980RMB is still very expensive...I can offer 2500RMB.And 1000RMB for Australia Network!

get real... legit satellite... see my previous posts on the subject. after having dealt with the pudong business development bureau, the ningbo government, and the economic trade development zone. i know factually that legit satellites for private individuals are not legal, but are tolerated for foreigners in china. when my previous company/organisation applied for a satellite we found out a lot of information, and had to go through many obstacles and challenges to get a commercial licensed satellite... the costs of which was upwards of rmb1,000,000, due to particular configuration needs.
in china really legit satellite don't exist.
by the way... advertising should go into the classified section, that is what the classified section was created for. thanks

Good thing that this made you lower your rates. I bet your previous clients did not "enjoy" the discount :)

there is may not be legal satellite but there is legal cable network in china that shows most satelitte channels.
In guangdong there is topway cable that shows BBC, ESPN, CNBC, etc, etc legally. I think that it will only
be a matter of time that legal cable or digital networks will enter the shanghai market as the government could make
large sums of money off taxing and licensing cable in china.
for now we can use illegal satellite

To the satellite guys on here, a couple of questions.

1 - I have Dream, and yes, i lost 13 or so channels last week. I have a BOLT brand box and done a rescan to change all the channels to their correct names, because they were all mixed up. There is another thread stating to change the settings to Agila2 satellite and change the HZ frequencies etc.. It found the satellite but only now has 10 channels. It does not get the CNN, BBC, Discovery etc... Can someone please tell me how i now add/find these channels?

2 - Can we get a definitive answer on the Australian Network Channel. Is it definitely a big dish that is required? There is no other way?

thanks

Which is the best Satellite service available for watching English Premier League football? Dream is crap. Star Sports don't show all the matches and the picture looks like they are playing in a bowl of soup.

Skywave TV has Goal TV and some other sport channels. EPL and other major Eropean championships are available from there.

1. Choose 'Menu' on your remote control
2. Select 'Channel List'
3. Choose 'Delete channel'
4. Ok
5. Find the 'Scan Satellite' via the Menu button
6. Change the bandwidth amount to 25600 or 12301 H 25600 with Fast(NIT)
7. Choose Ok

Could fit a 1.2 on mine.
Small enough that with the right hardware you can probably hang it off the wall.
If you have the space though....more stable and less obtrusive with a floor mount.

Before you purchase....have them bring a dish and a signal strength meter over and make sure the bloody thing will work with the sight line you have to the satellite.

Unfortunately Mrs P1 wanted Thai...which is a 1.8m.
Off to the roof we went...
Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.....Dave Barry

yes. true, cable is legal but the contents of the cable vary by location. in the villa complex i live in, which is government owned and operated (special entry criteria), the government provides cable to every villa (all 52) and tolerates satellite tv for the few foreigners allowed to live here. each year there is an annual inspection, and the government dept. concerned calls the villa complex manager to inform of the date and time of inspection so that he can get round to all the villas with satellites to make sure the dishes are hidden from the view from the private roads through the compound, then the inspection proceeds.
