You say that but... interesting that the colleague who sits next to me gets the "Safari can’t connect to the proxy server" at the exact same time as I manage to log on to gmail.
Another unusual phenomenon...if I open two browser windows and try logging onto gmail, one will always give me the above message while the other logs on no problem. I can't explain it, but computers have always been a mystery to me.
