Good tailor in Shanghai

Postby Pagey87 » Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:07 pm

Hello!

Can someone recommend a good tailor to go to for a custom fitted suit? Althuogh I'm on a budget, I don't mind paying a little extra to visit a tailor that I know will be good. I visited what looked like a good place today and was quoted RMB3300 for a custom made wool suit with two pairs of trousers. Does anyone know if this is along the right lines?

Plenty of threads [excuse the pun] on this in the search button.

My lady Judy can knock you up one for round 600 - 800 hundred.

If you think 3300 is a good price and you are willing to spend that for a wool suit, then you should do that.
If you want something cheaper ask the Walrus, or I can give you a number of a tailor who can do it for 400-600 (delivery, home measurements and all included).

Its cheap, but its not bad. Had 4 suits made by her that i wear every day to work. I work in a big foreign company and never had any complaints.

She'll come over to your place with fabrics to do measurements, first fittings and delivery when its done.

PM me if you need her number, she can also do shirts by the way

If you're looking for better quality fabrics than you'll find in the markets here, I import worsted wools from Britain for use in clothing which I can supply to you. PM me if interested, you'd be very lucky to find anything as nice in Shanghai unless you're paying several thousand RMB.

I'm looking for good but not so pricy tailors. Any recommendation especially the one who could do women's business suit. Any info is appreciated. Thank you.

Good tailors in this neck of the woods? Hong Kong or Bangkok, forget the rest.
