I will go to Seattle for business trip on August, I want go to New York at the weekend, any guideline for two days trip in New York? For example: how to book cheap air ticket from Seattle to New York, the hotel reservation, city tip and so on…..

I would check an American travel website like Expedia.com or Priceline.com for a ticket from Seattle to New York. New York hotels can be expensive so check with a travel website for some good deals.

I would suggest re-thinking your plan. It will take at least 6 hours of flying time -- plus travel to the airport, getting through security, etc... Figure 10 hours for travel one way. Plus cost, plus jetlag.

For the time and money you could spend going across the country, why don't you map out a trip to a California city like San Francisco or LA? It should be a cheaper, quicker flight to get to one of those cities, and there's plenty to keep you amused for two days. These cities are very different from NYC, but still, they will give you a taste of the US.

If you do decide to do it, bite the bullet and spend real money to stay in the city -- with so little time, the last thing you want to do is spend half of it schlepping in from a remote hotel. And brace yourself because EVERYthing is expensive in NYC.

I hope you do realise that Seattle is <------- here whilst NY is ------------------------------------------------------------------------> here. I suggest you visit SF or Vegas instead, otherwise, 1/2 your trip will be spent on flights and in airports.

Agree with others that a good part of your weekend will be spent on traveling from Seattle to NYC. Not sure if any airlines have a direct flight to JFK or LaGuardia, but if you do decide to go you may want to fly into Newark, NJ (airport code EWR) on Continental Airlines and take the train into the city. Continental should have a direct flight from Seattle to Newark since Newark is their hub.

www.orbitz.com usually list some good prices for airline tickets and hotels. Use that to check out the prices then go to the airlines site directly to price the same flights. Most US airline sites guarantees to have the cheapest prices online so it wouldn't hurt to compare their prices to orbitz.

NYC is a fun place, but you'll barely scratch the surface in 2 days. If you do go, you can buy a daily pass for unlimited ride on their public bus and subway system for $7. Make sure the pass is for the MTA. Taxi is fine, but it can be costly.
