Help! I need a good service apartment!

Postby Shanghai7136 » Tue Nov 27, 2007 6:49 pm

Hi,

I need some place to live for 3 months until I get a "real" place. Can someone please tell me where is a good place to rent, in terms of service apartments? I know that there is a good place next to Zhong Shan Park, "Guang Li" or something, but their prices range from 9500 to 5500rmb per month. My friend rented a place for 3500rmb, so clearly they are lying. Anyhoo... I'd prefer something around 3500 or lower for now. Please let me know if you know of any good places.

Thanks!

I've never heard of a serviced apartment for less than 3500rmb, but it would be nice to know if those existed.

Then there is the issue of getting them to give you a contract for 90 days. Most want at least 6 mo if not a year. A better option might be to look through the listings advertising for roomates and get a room in an existing house. Check http://cityspace.shanghaiexpat.com

Just about anything that says Serviced Apartment is going to be for higher income tenants. There are hotels all over charging 200-400 per night for a room and if you negotiate a monthly rate, probably even better.

i used to live on kanding lu. i already posted it before my boss used to pay like 3.500rmb a month for a 2 bedroom the second one was very small but tje 1 bedroom was cheaper.
someone asked me one day if i was renting by the month or by the day so i guess they rent fro shoet time too

1033 kangding lu is is not bad clean and sometimes not so quiet either but it was good for a year

some of the people front desk speak english they have a exercise room my wife used it sometimes not big but ok.

of course it is all furnished and all electric 10mns walk from carrefour on the corner of yanping lu and wuning lu in between i think the name is "tong ji garden"

you can try that

I found a service apartment for 3200rmb and a 3 month contract. This should be enough time to find a real place. Also, it's all glass inside and nice interior. I'll take a look at the other options as well.

Thanks everyone!
