Help, need advice quick!!

Postby IgotAquestion » Tue May 09, 2006 6:10 pm

I've just spur of the moment taken 3 days off of work and am trying to plan my escape from Shanghai. I have wen-sunday and if I was having enough fun I'm sure it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to miss monday.

HERE are the problems, 1 Where to go??? I've done Huangshan, Putoshan, Hang/suzhou and some of the old towns around Shanghai. By far my favorite places in China are in the west, Sichuan/yunnan, but it would be more of a tease for me to only spend a few days. So thats the question, where to go and what to do?? I really appreciate any suggestions and keep in my the last thing I want is another city in China.

2 I tried to book a flight to Hainan, but because it's last minute I'm having trouble getting anything that is really in the price range I want. Same goes for Guilin and Qingdao isn't really warm enough to fully enjoy. Let me know if any lightbulbs go in anyones heads sometime between now and wendsday morning.

Thanks, Jason

some good deals to hk.

my trip to guilin was considerably more expensive than hk just two weeks ago (went to both within one week of each other)... it's prime season there and the airfare is pricey.

taiwan is probably out of the question since you will lose so much time in transit. vietnam won't work unless you have the visa already. let's see... thailand isn't too bad of a flight and would be a nice weekend escape or mongolia... i had a friend who went there in may about three years ago and while it was cold, he had a great time. yantai is a nice city, but qingdao is better and since you don't wish to go there yet that won't work.

have a blast, wherever you wind up!
