I am trying to figure out the best way to get an airline ticket from shanghai to the usa. She wants to come and visit in May and again in October. I am not sure how I should go about doing this. Normally I would just go and visit but because I used all my time off from work I can't go. I should also point out that she is a abc so she doesnt need a visa and her passport is still good for awhile. Should I just have her get one in shanghai then write her a check for what I owe her for it or should I just buy one online for her?

If you have enough frequent flyer miles, you can issue an award ticket off of your account. Your gf just has to apply to the airline for her own frequent flyer card and then you verse the miles into her account or have a ticket issued directly to her from your account. Just one option people sometimes overlook.

You can book for her (ticket issued under her name) through major travel sites or directly from Airlines and pay using your credit card in the US even the departure originates from Shanghai.

I called, confirmed and did it a just a few weeks ago for my gf. I am talking about Canada but it's pretty much the same in the states.

Actually I do have enough miles for a round trip ticket from my recent visits to shanghai. I think I have enough miles for two tickets I will have to consider getting her on that airline didn't know you can do this
