How do you say "office of the governor" (USA state)?

Postby SmoothCB » Tue Aug 31, 2010 2:50 am

I'm trying to figure out the correct way to write "office of the governor" (of a USA state) and am having a bit of trouble. I think it should be "州长处" but am not sure. Can any of the experts on here please help me out?

Thanks

Are you trying to find the correct way to write "office of governor" in Chinese or are you looking for the proper format to address the governor's office of a state in the US? If it is the latter you are after, you would would write office of governor followed by the name of the governor of the state you wish to contact.

I'm just trying to make a reference to the "office of the governor" of a certain US state in a letter that I'm writing. The context is already known.

Thanks

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.....Dave Barry

You are correct, I wrote a second line explaining this, for one reason or another it did not
show. That line is:
州长办公室,美国加利福尼亚州

Which translates as: Governors' Office, California USA.

I got this from Hot little Chinese Girlfriend that teaches kindergarten.
Copied both, but transcribed wrong one..D'oh
